Horizon Organic: Summer Fun

Hello Friend,
School's out and the fabulous freewheeling days of summer are upon us! Time for playing, camping and exploring the great outdoors in the sunshine.

Getting outside saves energy!

Shut off the A/C and TV and settle under a shady tree with a cool drink and a good book.
Hang up the car keys and take a family bike ride to get ice cream.
Find a nearby camping area, pack up the tent and turn off everything but the sound of nature for the weekend. (Don't forget the s'mores.)

Look for ways to green up your community, too.

Organize the neighborhood kids and take a day to clean up a local park.
Volunteer some weeding time at a community garden.
Add shade, color and cleaner air to your block by planting a tree.
